Icarus is RED’s most ambitious project yet, aiming to build a complete liquid‑propellant rocket vehicle that pushes the boundaries of what Texas A&M has done before. It represents the university’s first fully liquid rocket, the most powerful rocket ever developed on campus, and RED’s first vehicle designed specifically for competition. The team plans to enter the FAR TCPF liquid‑vehicle competition and is currently deep into system‑level design, simulation work, and mission planning as they move toward bringing the vehicle to life.
